
When I initially started involving AI in my projects where things are a bit complicated, and also some of the tools were pretty new for the LLM to understand. For example, a lot of recent LLM models struggle to understand or generate code for Svelte 5; because that’s what Svelte has released pretty recently, and not a lot of people are using it in their codebase. So the LLMs which are mostly trained on Github public projects or somewhere else, will have a very hard time understanding how things should be implemented in the newer frameworks.

Each time I launch a mainstream calorie tracker, I get a little cringe. They want my health info, what I eat; everything gets sold, monetised, tracked. Such apps are bloated, flashy, sometimes pretend to be “your coach” but end up displaying ads or pushing me towards subscriptions I didn’t request. I just need something that keeps track of calories; nothing more, nothing less.

Zustand is great for React Native apps if you have a simple but effective state management solution. It also has persist middleware that lets you persist a store's state across page reloads or application restarts. That's pretty helpful if you want offline kind of app and want to load your initial state instantly from the persistent storage. But, there is a caveat!
